This "air freshener" blend is from Valerie Cooksley's book. She calls
Mellow Mist as it's good to diffuse in the air before the children come
home from school to help them "chill out" and put them in a good mood and help
them concentrate on their homework.
1 cup distilled water
20 drops Mandarin essential oil
10 drops Lavender essential oil
5 drops Marjoram essential oil
5 drops Sandalwood essential oil
Spray bottle with fine mist
Mix all ingredients in spray bottle and shake before each use.
Spritz in the air where the children will be when they get home from school
or their pillows and furniture.
Summer Citrus Blend
8 drops Mandarin essential oil
8 drops Lemon essential oil
8 drops Grapefruit essential oil
4 drops Citronella essential oil
4 drops Bergamot essential oil
I blend these drops in a ceramic tealight diffuser or my electric
that heats the oils. It gives a real fresh, citrusy aroma to your home and
smells wonderful for a fresh clean summery smell.
Muscle Ache & Pain Reliever Oil
5 drops Rosemary essential oil
5 drops Lavender essential oil
5 drops Nutmeg essential oil
Mix these oils with one tablespoon of a carrier oil such as
sesame, sweet almond or olive oil and massage into the skin where you are
having the muscle pains. The carrier oil helps dilute the essential oils
to prevent skin irritation. Massage 20 to 30 minutes for best results.
